However he spent most of his life in Italy and France, where he settled in 1934. In 1968 Richard was awarded the ‘Grand Prix International Paint’. He is an autodidact with a very personal style, a painter of light and shade which often create an atmosphere of mystery together. His Nudes are well known and not offensive to the eye. He manages to incorporate refinement and elegance to his works. His paintings can be found in France, Italy, England, The USA, Belgium and Germany.
